›› You can...
Receive TV outside of the UK as long as you have a valid TV licence, your equipment may be used in a caravan away from home and any of the non-encrypted transmissions can be received quite legally anywhere within the footprint of the satellite signal... However Sky has acquired the broadcasting rights to transmit it's services (movies etc.) via satellite to the UK and Ireland only and is therefore not allowed to have subscribers outside this area. If Sky became aware that you are using your viewing card outside the UK they would deactivate it. It is unlikely that Sky will investigate any customer as long as he or she pays the subscription fees.
There are several web based companies which can set up a contract for you if you are looking to move abroad and still want English TV.

Take your viewing card from your box at home and put it in your touring box either. Once a card has been initialized in a box, it has in effect been 'married' and cannot easily be swapped.
Outside the UK a Sky receiver cannot be connected to the UK telephone line and therefore the Digibox must be bought non-subsidised. If you phone Sky and say that you have your own equipment and want to Subscribe, they will give you a 'Second Hand Contract' which does not need to be connected to a phone line.
Interactive services such as ordering Pay-per-View directly with the Sky digital remote cannot be used abroad.
