All you need are a few basic bits of equipment and a little bit of patience to align the dish. They are now many Satellite 'finding' aids on the market which can help you to a greater or lesser extent. To start with, lets list the essential components.

• Dish - Size governed by where you want to go

›› First time users should..

bear in mind that the larger the dish, the harder it is to align. Different LNB's have differing abilities when it comes to picking up a signal, as do DigiBoxes to a lesser extent. Don't forget the basic questions you should be asking yourself like how you wish to mount your dish;

• Tripod stand,
• clamped to your vehicle,
• pole in the ground

›› What can help me?

First time users are mostly put off by worrying how competent they are at finding a signal. You can get various satellite finding aids which will help with this and we also provide instructions with all our equipment. We are always honest and say that you need a bit of patience in the beggining when you are getting used to it. As with anything, the more you do it, the more familiar it will become. If you have an opportunity to practice then take it.

Go out for a weekend in your local area and do a test run. That way, when you are in the middle of Provance, you should be at least slightly acquainted with you're equipment
